Phat Da Monastery is a new Monastery which is located near the city of Brisbane and very close to the Vietnamese populated suburbs such as Inala, Durack and Darra.
Phat Da Monastery is a Holy place for those who really want to reduce suffering and develop calm insight, wisdom, tolerance and to practise the Buddhist morality through meditation, chanting and remembering the Amitta Buddha.
Phat Da Monastery is a place to cultivate mindfulness, compassion and a wonderful place to practise the glory of emptiness in this real life.
Phat Da Monastery is a peaceful place guiding people to realise the potential of their mind. It is acting not only for the people who are still alive but also for the people who have passed away.
Phat Da Monastery offers very good vegetarian food for all who come to enjoy, practise, listen and travel. So do not hesitate to come here to learn the Buddha‟s teachings and to repeat the name of Buddha every Sunday morning, therefore Phat Da Monastery is from all and for all.
Compassion and love can exist and flourish when there is no hate, no envy, and no
ambition. Without love and compassion, life is like the barren earth - arid, hard and
brutal.
May you all live in calmness with peace of mind and happiness in this life.
Venerable Thich Thien Huu was sponsored by the Phat Da Monastery in 2002 while studying in India for almost five and half years. He is the present Abbot of Phat Da Monastery who is guiding the Buddhist practitioners.
